Frequently Asked Questions
Does DTPBlender support vector export? No. DTPBlender can exclusively export (render) RGB images. How can I create an array of objects? You can use the regular DupliFrames feature (see Blender's official documentation) for creating arrays of objects. Turn on "DupliFrames" in the object, Add->DTP->Line, turn on "CurvePath" in the editbuttons, edit as needed, then select your object, shift-select the line/curve, CTRL-P, and turn on "DupliFrames" in the object buttons. Adjust settings as needed. To hide the duplicator curve, just move it to an invisible layer, or assign it an invisible material and set its drawtype to "Wire", for example. This probably deserves an "Array" primitive. Why do I get artifacts on export when using shadows? This is a limitation in the renderer. To remedy this, either use the Unified Renderer (turn on the toggle in the scene buttons), or use a lower (8 or below) shadow resolution for rendering. This has been fixed in the current development version. Can I add additional size presets? There's no way for users to add size preset buttons, but you can of course create template scenes for them: Start dtpblender, add a new scene (SCE: dropdown at the top), choose "Full copy", rename it appropriately, and then just change the size settings manually. When you've created all template scenes, just press CTRL-U to save to default startup file. How can I close curves?Curves are closed with CTRL-C in dtpblender, as C is already reserved for 'concentrate on selection'. |
