Installing DTPBlender
For Linux:
- Untar the corresponding archive to a location of your choice
- Run the included shell script (dtpblender), which will try to setup
Full Scene Anti Aliasing (FSAA) and then run the actual binary (dtpblender-bin).
- Note: FSAA has only been tested on Nvidia chipsets. I do not know how
to correctly set up a suitable FSAA mode for ATI or other chipsets. FSAA is
crucial for getting a usable preview, so you should definitely find out how
to set it up for your card.
- DTPBlender will create a directory ".iblender2" in your home directory where
it will store your preferences (DB.blend) and various other stuff.
- You can additionally create a file "Bfs" there, in which you can put your
list of "favourite" directories for the fileselector, one directory per line.
For other OSes:
- You will need to figure out how to setup FSAA for DTPBlender manually.
This is almost a requirement - it's next to impossible to work with DTPBlender
without anti-aliasing.
- More information for other OSes might be coming soon.
